Why Acne Creams Don’t Work

Even though acne is not subject to one particular age demographic, it is preponderant in young people–at one of the most self-conscious stages of life–their teenage years.  The pharmaceutical corporations have basically jumped at the opportunity to quickly profit in on the struggles of acne that are being faced by many hapless people across the country.  This is why you see hundreds of acne creams on the shelves of supermarkets today.  There’s no doubt that if you go to the nearest pharmacy, you’ll see a flood of acne creams manufactured by pharmaceutical companies.  There are whole sections that are dedicated to the handling of acne breakouts.  It’s no surprise that acne creams are by far the most popular treatment for acne than any other remedy out there.  Even though all of these fancy creams exist, acne still continues to plague those very same people.

I had acne and before I cleared out my skin I was always asking myself “Why is there all of these acne products on the market but none of them seem to do squat about the problem?”  The most little-known answer to this question is that poor hygiene does not completely attribute to acne.  People wash their faces vigorously every day hoping to rid themselves of their acne . But facial washes are not even the answer to mitigate your acne problem.  The best ways to fighting acne are not acne creams either.  Acne creams may have the illusion of doing an excellent job of taking out the acne and helping the skin remain highly hygienic but in reality, there are tons of clear solutions that people are bypassing. Somebody has to say it: acne cannot be cured by any pharmaceutical company’s product.  Period. Acne creams, despite their ineffectiveness, are still purchased everyday by many Americans who are unconsciously wasting hundreds of dollars each year.  The way to relieve yourself of acne is done not with acne creams or facial washes, but by natural methods that you should and will take advantage of once you find out about them.

I have used Proactive, Noxema, Oxy pads and a bunch of other products over the years that have not done anything to truly put an end to my acne condition. I would recommed anyone suffering from acne to use the exact methods I used to treat my acne problem. Go to my blog. Take advantage of the system I used and you’ll see dramatic results in only days. That’s not even a full week.

Acne – Diet as Acne Treatment

A lot of acne or severe acne may make your skin look really bad. People try to make a lot of efforts by visiting a dermatologist, applying topical creams and eating pills. However, it gets very disappointing when results are not so obvious.

Experts in the field of skin treatment firmly believe that alteration in one’s diet can actually improve skin structure and treat acne. Switching over to a healthy diet can even prevent acne from occurring.

What you eat and drink can have a great affect on your acne condition. Most people do not drink adequate amount of water. This makes their body and skin dehydrated. They do not realize this. It is important to drink at least eight glasses of water on a daily basis. This is the best and easiest method of keeping your skin healthy.

Another important thing is to have a low fat diet that includes a lot of vegetables and fruits. Try to stay away from junk food, chocolate and carbonated drinks. These can result in out-break of acne or even worsen acne conditions.

Poor quality food or any kind of allergic reactions to certain food items can result in acne breakouts.

Vitamin supplements can enhance healthy eating style. You can include vitamins A, C, B6, E, and B- complex to improve your skin condition.

Here are some diet recommendation for acne affected skin or preventing the skin from acne:

a) Fruit Acne diet

This diet plan consists of an all fruit diet for about a week. Here, you need to take three meals a day that should consist of fresh fruits such as pears, apples, grapes, pineapples, peaches and grape fruit. As far as liquid is concerned, only unsweetened lemon or plain water is allowed. Nothing else should be drunk as a fluid.

b) Abstinence from tea, coffee, soft drinks, and processed foods

Here, one requires to stay away from meats, sugar, strong tea or coffee, condiments, pickles, candies, soft drinks, ice-cream, developed and processed foods.

c) In proportion acne diet

Here, the patient requires to follow a one-week all fruit diet. Gradually, one can start eating fresh vegetables, raw nuts, sprouted seeds, whole grain cereals such as millet and brown rice etc. A short period of fruit diet means all-fruit diet for about three days. The skin tends to improve gradually.

Other healthy diet tips to treat acne:

- Don’t eat foods that are high on the glycemic index. Some people develop facial problems when they eat a lot of potatoes.

Stay away from foods that contain zinc antagonists. Including minerals such as copper, calcium and iron may interfere with zinc absorption.

- Avoid gorging on a lot of sugary items. This will result in a good amount of breakouts.

- Don’t drink coffee. A lot of caffeine will increase facial breakouts.

- Eat a lot of fish, fruits and vegetables.

- Try to eat vegetables raw or lightly cooked in order to get better results.

- Focus on having a lot of water. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day.

- You can also design a specific diet for acne on the recommendation of your dermatologist.

Practice patience and do not expect overnight results. Don’t be harsh on your pimples.
